For a number of years the Maidenhead Pool League has been growing in strength in the local community, in terms of the numbers of participants in the league and the general awareness of its various competitions in the area. As the league continues to expand, the opportunity arises to take on partners at various different levels. Therefore, this open letter invites interested parties to contact the league to discuss potential sponsorship opportunities.
As a general guide, the league is currently able to offer the following packages across a range of prices:
Sponsorship of Player Handbooks
The MPL 2004/2005 season Players Handbook was a great success with over 300 copies going out to players and venues. This was supported by many of the match-day venues and suppliers of trophies and stationary to the MPL. Advertising in the handbook represents great value for money with coverage going to a specific target audience.
The MPL is able to offer advertising (Quarter, Half or Full Page Advert) in the A5 sized MPL Winter League Handbook at £20, £35 and £50 respectively.
Individual MPL Competitions
MPL Competitions range from the Premier League down through Division 1, 2 and 3 in the Winter League with team Knockout Cup and Plate competitions running alongside. There are further knockout competitions for individuals at Singles and Doubles and a Ladies competition, all running after the conclusion of the Divisional competitions. The competitions will be covered on a weekly basis in the Maidenhead Advertiser and on the MPL Website reaching an audience far wider than the playing community alone. Sponsors would benefit from their name appearing on all related material in the newspaper, the website, MPL fixtures calendars in the Players Handbook and on A3 posters at the venues. An invitation to sponsor each of our competitions is extended to all interested parties.
The MPL invites offers of over £150 for sponsoring Divisions 1, 2 and 3 as a package.
The MPL Pool League
Finally, the MPL is seeking a major sponsor for the Premier League and Knockout Competitions. This will also include sponsorship of the MPL as a whole and the Inter league Teams that it sends to compete against other leagues in Berkshire. Finally, this will include sponsorship of the winners of previous year’s events when they participate in the Regional and subsequently (depending on their progress) National EPA events. The MPL sponsor would be invited to host and/or be present at the finals of our knockout competitions and to take an active roll in awards ceremonies. Any sponsor will benefit from the heightened media interest that comes with big occasions as well as the regular daily and weekly presence in the community discussed above.
